Mindful Milestones TPM in Italy!

Turning ideas into tools for reflection and personal growth
The Mindful Milestones journey continued in Italy!
On 24–25 July 2026, the project partners came together for a Transnational Project Meeting to review the progress made so far, work on the project’s educational tools, and prepare the next important steps of the project.
After the international mobility in Varna, where young people had the opportunity to explore self-awareness, gratitude, emotional resilience, and goal-setting, the partnership has been working to transform these experiences and ideas into practical resources that can be used by young people and youth workers.
The meeting in Italy was an important moment to bring all of these pieces together.
From ideas to practical resources
A major focus of the meeting was the Mindful Milestones card game.
The partners reviewed the content and design of the cards, discussed how they can be made clearer and easier to use, and explored different ways young people could interact with them.
The aim is to make the cards flexible enough to support different situations. They could be used individually for personal reflection and journaling, together with another person during mentoring, or as part of workshops and group activities.
Partners also discussed how the accompanying instructions can become more practical, with clearer steps, examples, and scenarios that help users understand how to get the most out of the cards.
Throughout the process, one question remained central: Will these tools actually feel relevant and useful for the young people who use them?
That is where the next stage of the project comes in.

Putting young people at the centre of the testing process
The partnership is now preparing focus groups that will help evaluate and improve the Mindful Milestones resources.
A total of 35 people will contribute to this process, including 25 young people aged 18–24 and 10 professionals working with or supporting young people.
Youth workers, social workers, mentors, psychologists, and people with experience in games and gamification will be invited to share their perspectives alongside young people from different backgrounds.
The focus groups will look at different areas of the card game, including its relevance to everyday experiences, clarity, practicality, educational value, design, and usability.
Most importantly, they will give young people a direct opportunity to say what works, what could be improved, and how the cards could better respond to their realities.
Growing the Mindful Milestones space online
Another important milestone is already here: the Mindful Milestones website is ready!
During the meeting, partners discussed how the platform can become a central space for following the project journey and accessing its results.
The website will gradually bring together project updates, experiences from the Varna mobility, educational materials, the card game, feedback from schools and teachers, focus group results, and other resources developed throughout the project.
The partnership also explored possibilities for making some of the project materials more interactive and engaging online, including potential digital and gamified versions of the resources.

Making sure the project reaches beyond the partnership
Creating useful resources is only one part of the journey. Making sure people can actually discover and use them is just as important.
Partners therefore also reviewed the project’s communication and dissemination activities and discussed how the educational programme, website, card game, and upcoming results can reach more young people, youth workers, educators, schools, and organisations.
As the project moves forward, more experiences, resources, and results will continue to be shared through the Mindful Milestones website and partner communication channels.
What comes next?
The next major step is clear: testing, listening, and improving.
Partners will organise the focus groups in their countries, collect feedback from young people and professionals, and use the results to further develop the Mindful Milestones card game and its supporting materials.
The partnership is also looking ahead to another international activity in Belluno, Italy, planned for June 2027, where the Mindful Milestones journey will continue with another opportunity for learning, connection, and reflection.
Each meeting brings the project one step closer to its main goal: creating practical and meaningful tools that help young people better understand themselves, reflect on their experiences, recognise their strengths, and move towards their personal milestones.
Stay tuned as Mindful Milestones continues to grow!
